Let's take a look at some of the exciting things happening at our school this year, and welcome new staff to our team.
During the past 3 years Larrakeyah Primary School has moved towards an inquiry-based approach to learning. This has followed on from the introduction of 21st Century Learning and coincided with the introduction of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) into classroom teaching.
The NT Preschool Curriculum is used in conjunction with the Early Years Learning Framework and was developed as a practical guide to assist the preschool teacher to implement the Learning Outcomes of the EYLF for children from three to five years of age.
Learning Intention: Students learn about persuasive texts. Success Criteria: I name what a persuasive text is and the purpose. I name a type of persuasive text. I name some persuasive devices. I write a persuasive letter to the principal about something they would like at the school.

The aim of EYLF is to extend and enrich children’s learning from birth to five years and through the transition to school.
