Developing Excellence in Writing

In 2014/15 we conducted an analysis of writing results achieved by our students. It became apparent that, although students at Larrakeyah were achieving well in comparison to other schools in Darwin and around Australia, there had been no year-on-year improvement, in fact there had actually been a slight decrease in NAPLAN results.

Into Term 3: School Programs and COVID 19

A very different Term 2 at Larrakeyah Primary school is about to end. The coronavirus has impacted all levels of the school and wider community. Fortunately, due to the understanding and support of our wonderful school community and the dedication and perseverance of the school staff, we have survived and thrived this term.

An Independent Public School and a Cambridge Primary School

Becoming an Independent Public School in 2014 has opened many opportunities to improve our already successful school. Since then, with the support of the NT Department of Education, our school leadership has developed the culture and direction of Larrakeyah Primary to provide students with greater opportunities to improve their educational outcomes and develop their social and emotional well-being.

Living Positively: Term 1 Peer Support Program

​Respect, optimism and a positive learning atmosphere are integral to student success at Larrakeyah Primary School. This term, we’re kicking off the Peer Support Program across all year levels to foster positive attitudes among students – their relationships with each other and their teachers.

Primary School: 08:15 AM - 2:45 PM
Supervision is provided before school (8:00 AM - 8:15 AM)
and after school (2:45 PM - 3:00 PM).

Preschool: 08:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Front Office: 08:00 AM - 3:30 PM
