2022 School Concert: A Night at the Museum
A Night at the Museum tells a wondrous story of mystery and enchantment as the night crew at the Larrakeyah Primary Museum deal with the strange goings on that occur once the sun goes down.
When: Friday, 23 September at 7:00pm
Venue: The Playhouse, Darwin Entertainment Centre
Tickets: Visit Darwin Entertainment Centre
Hosted at the Darwin Entertainment Centre (DEC), our whole school concert for 2022 is now just a few weeks away.
The concert is an exciting capstone for the Arts Program at Larrakeyah Primary, with each class preparing, practicing, and performing a dance as part of the performance. Under the direction of Ms Angeline Vrettis, dances, production, and music are woven together with performances from the main cast of middle and upper students to put on an amazing night for the school community.
If you haven’t already, tickets are available and can be purchased online or from the Darwin Entertainment Centre Box Office.
Celebrating a decade of Performing Arts
In 2012, our school decided that annual performances would become a fixed part of our Arts Program. A decade ago we put on our first whole school performance, The Wizard of Oz, on the netball courts.
Since then, each year has seen a new production or concert. Now, 10 years later, our students perform on the stages of Darwin Entertainment Centre for audiences of 700 or more.
Performances have been a mix of classic stories to celebrations of our local culture and lifestyle. Take a look at our productions (tap an image to expand).
