Visible Learning- 3 Marschall
In Chemical Sciences for Term 3, we are learning that a change of state between solid and liquid can be caused by adding or removing heat.
To finish off our unit of work we are working collaboratively with 3 Lawler on a STEAM project in teams. Students are creating recipes using their knowledge of solids and liquids, and adding or removing heat. This recipe will be tested in the kitchen at school to make sure it works, and will be filmed to be included in our own Year 3 television show, ‘Cooking with Science!’.
Learning Intention:
We are learning to work collaboratively to plan and rehearse a recipe involving melting, freezing, heating or cooling.
Success Criteria:
- I can collaborate with my team.
- My recipe involves melting, freezing, heating or cooling.
- We have finalised our ingredients list.
- We have finalised our budgets to $15.
