Catch up with Quest
Quest is an inquiry-based learning initiative at Larrakeyah Primary School with strong, practical ties to STEAM and developing 21st century skills.
With the program now successfully running for over a year, let’s catch up with Kiri Marschall, Senior Teacher and Quest Program Coordinator, to learn more about how Quest has developed in the lead up to the Quest Expo for 2019.
What is the Quest Program?
Quest extends student learning beyond the classroom, giving students the opportunity to work on specific projects with access to knowledge from local industry leaders.
How does Quest fit with STEAM?
Our school STEAM program aims to empower students to develop problem solving skills and utilise digital technology. The projects undertaken through Quest are amazing examples of just that.
About Quest Projects in 2019
This year, students have been involved in 10 inquiry-based projects. Here are just two.

Why is industry involvement so important to Quest?
Quest builds local industry expertise into projects to provide our students with experiences and skill development not possible in the typical classroom environment.
Quest Expo 2019
The expo is the Quest program’s flagship event where students share the outcomes and journey of their projects.
