Friday 2 November is a professional development day for teachers. Teachers will be involved in professional development sessions on Mathematics, NAPLAN data, 21st Century Learning and Writing. Teachers across Darwin City primary schools and Darwin Middle School will also be working together to discuss what our schools are doing in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) focussing on curriculum outcomes, assessment and resources.
This is important in our ongoing striving for improvement in teaching and learning. This professional learning day has been previously approved by Larrakeyah Primary School Board and the Department of Education. Please note: this is a student free day and parents are requested to make alternative arrangements for the care of their children on this day. Our OSHC Director, Emily Dures, is offering a Vacation Care program on this day. Please contact Emily to check for vacancies 0438 813211 or [email protected]
