Visible Learning- Transition Irwin
In Transition Irwin we have been learning to be Critical Thinkers by problem solving every Friday in Math. Students have been practicing the problem solving process of ‘See, Plan, Do, Check’ whereby they select their own method of how to solve the problem using either concrete materials or drawings.
We are learning to solve word problems in math, using pictures and concrete materials.
I can draw a picture to solve a math word problem.
I can use counters to solve a math word problem.
I can explain my thinking to a partner or my class.
